Our Ube Latte

Best Ube Latte in Denver

The Ube Latte, forever a Doppio icon!

If you’ve scrolled through Denver food content lately, you’ve likely seen a few posts about this pretty, purple latte. Well, it’s likely that at least a few of those may have been our Ube Latte - and it’s become the drink that so many people from our community have driven all across town for. As an Asian & Woman owned specialty coffee shop in Denver, featuring the Ube Latte on our menu is something that we are really proud of.

People always ask us, “what is ube?” And to them, we say that it’s a purple sweet potato that is used in many Indonesian desserts. It’s subtly sweet, creamy, and has notes of vanilla!

At Doppio, our use of ube is not some sort of trend or fad. It’s our way of honoring the flavors that our family grew up with. The ube syrup we make at Doppio is inspired from a family dessert recipe that dates back to the 70s in Indonesia. We use REAL ube to make the most beautiful & delicious purple syrup.

What’s in Doppio’s Ube Latte?

  • Locally roasted espresso or ceremonial grade matcha from Japan

  • In-house ube syrup

  • Milk of your choice

  • And it you get it cold, it’s topped with the most delicious ube cold foam you’ll ever have!

A few summers ago, Doppio’s Ube Latte started hitting the map when local influencers from all different niches started coming in to try out our famous purple drink. And every time, they fell in love! And honestly, we can’t blame them. We like to think that we have the best Ube Latte in Denver, but that’s for you to decide!

So come try our Ube Latte at Doppio! We are open Monday through Friday 7:30am-4pm and Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm. Free 2-hour parking is available in the lot next to the building. And if delivery is more of your jam, order your Ube Latte here for delivery!

Last thing. As a small business, we are continually humbled by the support of our community. You have all shown up for us, and as an Asian-woman owned business, we are eternally grateful! Until our next journal entry :)
